Bar replay

Practice on history: an honest path inside the bar and paper trading only.

Replay plays history back bar by bar, as if you were sitting in front of the chart on that day. A training tool: see what you would have done without knowing the future.

How it works

The pane holds a base series and one parameter — the moment of the last bar shown. Everything else follows: switching timeframes inside the replay, a higher timeframe waiting for the lower one, a live stream that keeps writing history without peeking past the cursor.

Controls

Pick a bar with the mouse — a blue vertical line with scissors; a click starts playback. Then: play and pause, step by one bar, speed from 0.1 to 10 seconds per bar, and jump back to real time.

The shortcuts are the familiar ones: Shift+↓ for play and pause, Shift+→ for a step.

Trading inside the recording

Trading in replay is paper only. Nothing reaches the broker — no orders, no cancellations: this is practice, not trading after the fact.

Execution is honest rather than “at the close of the bar”. Inside each bar the terminal walks a plausible path: open → (for a bullish bar the low, then the high; for a bearish one the reverse) → close. The engine is invoked exactly at the levels of pending and protective orders between the ends of the segment — so a stop fires at its own price rather than at the extreme of the bar, and a gap executes at the open.

Pending orders are validated exactly as a real broker validates them: Buy Stop above the price, Sell Stop below, Buy Limit below, Sell Limit above.

After the session

When you finish, statistics are shown: how the session went. Close the window and the results are gone — training trades are never mixed with real ones, neither in the journal nor in the statistics.

Marks on the chart during replay belong to the training engine only; marks of the real account are cleared on entering replay so that one is never taken for the other.
