Terminal documentation

Quasar Trading Terminal and the QuasarGen Script indicator language

What is done

Only what shipped in a release and runs on people machines.

Only what runs on people's machines: shipped in a release, checked by smokes, downloadable from the site. What is planned or unfinished lives in the neighbouring articles.

Trading

  • Live trading through OANDA (forex, metals, CFDs) and Bybit (spot and perpetuals).
  • A paper account with its own quote stream: practice without money.
  • Market and pending orders straight from the chart; take-profit and stop-loss as lines you drag.
  • TP/SL and close chips on an open position, with size on the chips if you want it.
  • A second broker lives in the background: background tabs keep price and percent up to date.
  • Account currency comes from the broker of that tab, not assumed to be the same for all.

Chart

  • Candles, volume, footprint clusters.
  • A full drawing toolset: lines, channels, shapes, regression trend, zones.
  • Indicators including Ichimoku and moving averages; our own indicator language, QuasarGen Script.
  • Bar replay — four stages of work, from rewinding to trading inside the recording.
  • Economic calendar with currency flags and exchange hours.
  • Alerts on chart lines and zones.

Discipline and risk

  • Risk management: limits per trade, per trading day and per week, with the day starting at 17:00 New York. A warning at 80 % of a limit, confirmation of every order once it is spent.
  • Review reminder: an unreviewed trade stays visible as unfinished business.
  • Trade result in pips, percent of account and R — switchable; never shown to outsiders in currency.

Journal and ideas

  • Trading journal: return, win rate, profit factor, drawdown, trade history.
  • A page per trade with notes; notes travel to the server and come back on another machine.
  • An idea as an executable trading plan: the chart is frozen at the moment of publication, and real trades are matched against it later.
  • Trade evidence inside someone else's idea: with a public profile outsiders see it — never in currency.
  • The review flag is carried honestly: unknown means the terminal stays silent instead of ticking a box.

Account and syncing

  • Sign-in with your site account; profile, trading account and security are edited from the terminal.
  • Settings, chart drawings and journal notes sync through the account (contract version 3).
  • Broker keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the key derived from a passphrase through PBKDF2 (200,000 iterations). What reaches the server is ciphertext: it cannot read it.
  • Two-factor sign-in, session list, lockout after failed attempts — on the site side.

Around the terminal

  • Public and private profile: public shows the whole trading record, private shows nothing. Money amounts never leave.
  • Crash report: the terminal reports its own crash — the report goes to the site on the next launch, with no dialogs and no questions asked of the person.
  • Two interface languages, English and Russian, switchable on the fly.
  • Builds for Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Linux from one source tree.
