Description

Quasar Trading Terminal is not another charting app, and not another trading journal. It is a marketplace for traders, where a track record can be verified instead of merely claimed.

Risk management that cannot be talked out of it

Ask anyone who has blown an account: they knew the rules. They knew not to average into a losing position, not to trade angry after two losses, not to size up "just this once". They knew — and did it anyway. Accounts are rarely lost through ignorance. They are lost because at the one minute that mattered, nobody was there to say stop.

Quasar is that stop. Limits are set in advance, with a clear head: per trade, per trading day and per week — prop-firm rules, with the day starting at 17:00 New York. While you are inside them, the terminal says nothing. At 80 % of a limit it warns you — quietly, while it is still early. Once a limit is spent, it asks for confirmation before every order: it does not forbid the trade, it makes you answer to yourself why you are taking it.

The distance between "I know the rules" and "the rules hold" is exactly that question, asked in time. For a beginner it is the difference between a bad evening and an empty account. For a veteran it is not losing in an hour what took a month to earn.

The same principle runs through review: an unreviewed trade stays visible as unfinished business. Discipline is not a character trait, it is a habit — and habits are built by the thing that reminds you every day.

Why a verifiable record matters

Anyone can show a beautiful equity curve. A screenshot takes a minute to make, and a bad month simply never reaches the report. None of it can be checked from the outside — which is why trading rewards the loudest voice rather than the best results.

Quasar is built so that it can be checked. An idea is published as an executable trading plan: the chart is frozen at the moment of publication, and real trades are later matched against it. Openness is a property of the trader, not of a single post: in public mode the whole trail is visible, and a losing trade cannot be hidden. Outsiders never see money amounts — only percent, pips and R.

That is what turns a terminal into a marketplace: behind every claim there is a history you can look at.

The terminal

Professional charts with candles, volume, footprint clusters and a full set of drawing tools. Live trading with a real broker straight from the chart — market and pending orders, take-profit and stop-loss as lines you drag. Bar replay, economic calendar, alerts on lines and zones.

In version 1.0.2 trading is available through OANDA (forex, metals, CFDs) and Bybit (spot and perpetuals), plus a paper account. New brokers are added as adapters written against their own APIs.

Inside the release

  • Risk management: per-trade, daily and weekly limits with the day starting at 17:00 New York, a warning at 80 %, confirmation once a limit is spent
  • Charts with candles, volume, footprint clusters and a full drawing toolset
  • Trading through OANDA and Bybit: market and pending orders, TP and SL on the chart
  • Trading journal: return, win rate, profit factor, drawdown and trade history
  • Ideas as trading plans with a frozen chart, matched against real executions
  • Trade result in pips, percent of account and R — switchable, never in currency
  • Public and private mode: public shows the whole trail, private keeps it to yourself
  • Review reminder: an unreviewed trade stays visible as unfinished business
  • Events: on-screen, sound and e-mail notifications without amounts, configured per event
  • Bar replay, economic calendar, alerts on chart lines and zones
  • Settings and drawings synced through your account; broker keys encrypted with AES-256-GCM
  • Two interface languages: English and Russian, switchable on the fly

System requirements

  • Windows: Windows 10 or 11, x64
  • macOS: macOS 12 or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel
  • Linux: x86_64, Qt 6.5 or newer (RPM package)
  • Disk space: 20 MB installed, plus room for cached price history
  • Memory: about 160 MB in use with one chart open
  • Interface languages: English and Russian
  • Network: a permanent connection — sign-in, quotes and account state live on the broker's side

Where it is going

The terminal is part of the Quasar ecosystem and grows with it: what verifies trades today will compare traders tomorrow, by a measure that cannot be gamed. Its direction is set by the people who trade on it.
